Alan Rickman is remembered for playing the reviled and largely misunderstood character of Severus Snape in the “Harry Potter” movie adaptations.
But in real life, his personality was far from cold and distant.
In a Huffington Post report, producer Paula DuPr Pesmen shared how she would organize “Harry Potter” set visits for children who were terminally ill.
She recounted that the cast was engaging and had touching moments with their guests, but one visitor stood out.

Fariñas to sue Ilocos Norte lawmakers for person non grata declaration

Majority Leader Rodolfo Fariassaid on Tuesdayhe would file graft charges against and seek damages from theIlocos NorteSanggunian Panlalawigan members who voted to declare him persona non gratain the province.

Aguirre taps fraternity brod to probe Aquino’s DAP

 

 

 

 

 

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II has named one of his undersecretaries and fraternity brother to lead the investigation into the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) during the Aquino administration.

 

In an order issued Tuesday, Aguirre designated Justice Undersecretary Antonio Kho Jr. in charge of a new task force that will “reopen the investigation” into alleged anomalies in the DAP as well as in the use of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or pork barrel of legislators.

Maute gunmen’s space for maneuver shrinking, says military

 

 

 

 

MARAWI CITY — The military said it was winning the war here after more than month of battling Islamic State-inspired militants, even as it admitted that the enemies continue to hold on to some strategic areas in the villages of Marinaut, Bangolo, Raya Madaya and Lilod.
